Farewell, Smithy 🕊️

On behalf of everyone at Top catch charters I would like to extend our deepest condolences to julie, joel and the extended smith family.

I was totally shocked to hear the passing of Robert “Smithy” Smith — a true legend on the water and a mate to so many of us in the charter boat and fishing community. We are all deeply saddened and I still can't believe it😥.

Smithy wasn’t just a fellow operator — he was someone who gave generously of his time, his knowledge, and his passion for fishing. Whether it was swapping stories, lending a hand when things got tough, or sharing those secret fishing spots (if you were lucky!), Smithy embodied what it meant to be part of this tight-knit industry.
