We are excited to announce that Overflow Foundation Founder Michael Carter is a top 3 finalist as a Westfield Local Heroes (Garden City) ‼️

Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities. The finalist with the most community votes will become the Westfield Garden City Local Hero for 2022, receiving a $20,000 grant for the organisation they represent. If Michael is successful, Overflow Foundation will use its funds to buy furniture, music studio equipment and recreational equipment for a new youth facility.

In this blog series, I am trying to help families navigate 'school' situations in ways that create the best possible outcomes for their children.

Sometimes it's hard for parents to know why a teacher does things a certain way and other times parents can find it quite maddening when their children relate things about their school day. It's hard to know when to bring it up to the teacher, and even harder to know how to do so in way that leads to positive outcomes.
