Australia’s aged-care system is changing from 1 November 2025.
The reforms are designed to make things fairer, more transparent and sustainable, but they also mean the way fees, means-testing and accommodation work will reset for many entering care.
If you or someone you know is planning aged care, either now or in the near future, it’s critical to understand:
- What the new fee names mean (e.g., Hotelling Contribution, Non-Clinical Care Contribution)
- The new caps on contributions to watch out for
- That clinical care will now be fully government-funded (a major shift!)
