First English logo design using the four treasures: Japanese paper, ink stick, ink stone, and brush.

I’ve always leaned towards creating pixel-perfect geometric logos…but coming up to four years in Japan, my eyes have opened up to the beauty and randomness of ink in branding.

Then again, they don’t have to be mutually exclusive. So I decided to combine both.

In this way, it represents the yin and yang philosophies behind Borderless Branding. A blend of East and West, old and new.
