Did you know you shouldn't be checking your breasts on the first of every month. Instead, you should know the regular look and feel of your breasts throughout every stage of the month. This is because there are many factors that can cause changes to your breasts, such as your menstrual cycle.

Therefore doctors recommend you don't do a breast check on the same day every month.

If you do feel or see a change in your breasts, its important not to panic. Nine out of ten breast changes are not due to cancer. However if you do notice a change, you should consult your doctor.

It is also important to note that some breast cancers will not cause any symptoms at all. It is therefore important, for those eligible, to get regular screening mammograms.
