🔋🏔️ Keeping your dinner warm in Dinner Plain is now possible even when the power’s out!

Dinner Plain is a remote alpine community with a single powerline supplying power to the town. Residents and visitors can be isolated during power outages due to weather or fallen trees.

To help the community stay connected during outages, we were pleased to award local hub, Big muster distilling company , a $19,000 grant from our Energy Resilience Community Fund. This enabled them to add a battery and changeover switch to their existing solar system and backup generator.

Now during outages and emergencies, the Distillery can provide heat, light, hot meals, internet, device charging and a central place for the community to gather.
