Folyo

The name folyo is a reference to the Hungarian word folyó, meaning river. This name pays homage to another family-owned art gallery and framing business, that ran for almost half a century in Melbourne’s prestigious commercial art precinct of High Street, Armadale. As one of the first art galleries to arrive on this famous street, the business also carried the name of a legendary river that runs through the heart of Europe. Folyo is also a play on the word folio, which is, of course, the source and basis of our artist-run business.
