Bad taping
Is it worth taping this area? If so, what is the reasoning? Where the ceiling meets the wall.

A considerable hole was cut by the plumbers for the pipe, and most of the header was removed. The metal plate is bending, which raises concerns about the drywall's flatness. Will this setup be suitable for an exterior wall on the first floor?

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent repair work, for which I paid $5,600. The floor patch is uneven and sloppy, the drywall is torn open around the plumbing, and the hookups are exposed. If a repair service is being charged, it is expected that the job includes finishing touches such as patching, sanding, properly closing the wall, and making the space usable. This appears to be an incomplete project. Should I withhold final payment until the wall is repaired and the floor is finished and level? 🤬💸🔧😡

I paid $1,650 — is this what a ‘ceiling repair’ is supposed to look like mid-job? 😅🕳️ The hole is uneven, the texture is torn up, and the framing is visible. 🪵🤔 Do I just wait for the magical day they come back and make it look like a ceiling again, or is this considered ‘done’ now?

What is the reason behind the droplets/bubbles forming in my drywall mud while working on the ceiling?

I've been quoted $450 by a handyman to repair a small section of wall that is missing. Is this price reasonable? The task seems to involve minimal materials, and I suggested meeting at the craft store to purchase some thick poster board and Elmer's glue. However, the handyman claims that the job requires 'backing,' 'tape,' and 'mud,' which seems excessive. Could someone please advise me if I'm being overcharged for labor?

I am literally shaking right now. I stopped by the new house to check progress and found THIS. The contractor has plastered over almost the entire wall! I asked him why he's wasting so much joint compound and he gave me some excuse about 'feathering out the butt joints.' I feel like he's just padding the material cost to rip me off. I told him to scrape it off and do it normal. Am I overreacting or is this a scam??

Paid by the fitting? 🧩💸 He used 12 ELBOWS to move the water 1 foot! "It slows down the flow to prevent noise," he claimed. It looks like a Tetris game under my sink. Will this ever drain? 🧱🚽

Bought a $1,000 vanity. 🪵🪚 The plumber said: "I had to modify the shelf slightly for the pipe." SLIGHTLY?! It looks like he used a chainsaw and his teeth! Is this standard practice or vandalism? 🤬📉

Purpose of pipe into the concrete
Father in-law just bought a home in up in Northern Illinois that needs a new water heater. It's piped in place by the gas line and a plumbing vent line that goes out of the pit but also into the concrete. He is going to get all of this mess replaced (water heater, pump, check valve, inline valve, pit cover, and seal it properly.
