We couldn't have asked for better weather for our 3rd InLife Tackle Free Carnival by FIDA - Football Integration Development Association for 2026 🏉
A big thanks to Parkside FIDA Football Club for hosting us at Pitcher Park in Alphington. A big thanks also to Matthew Jackson from FIDA for running another great day. It’s a huge week for Matt, with both his birthday and his 100th game as an umpire!!🥳
FIDA gives players of all abilities the chance to have a go, build skills, be part of a team and enjoy footy in a supportive and welcoming way. This is why we love working with them.
Congratulations to players from Coburg Football Club, Cranbourne All Abilities Football Club, Ferntree Gully Eagles - All Abilities, Lower Plenty Bears FIDA Football Club and Parkside FIDA Football Club who received the FIDA x InLife Spirit Award for showing teamwork, encouragement and great FIDA spirit throughout the day.
We always love seeing players join the InLife Local Legends on the day. Local Legends can either be players who already have a team joining us for the day, or players who aren’t registered. You don’t need any footy experience to join - If you or someone you know might be interested, send us a DM 📨
It was also great to see Richard Welch MP stop by to watch the game!
Finally, a big thanks to all our InLife volunteers, who help with things like goal umpiring, timekeeping and more 🙏
On Sunday, we kicked off this year’s InLife Tackle Free Carnivals with FIDA - Football Integration Development Association 👏
Tackle Free Footy gives people of all abilities the chance to have a kick, and with the weather and the people we had, there aren’t many better ways to spend a Sunday morning!
Shout out to the players of the day:
- Jason H (InLife Local Legends), led from the front and lifted everyone around him
- Zaviyar R (Cranbourne), first game, brought the energy and kicked a goal
- Braxton J (Monash / Kananook), backed his teammates and brought real team spirit
- Tanya K (Parkside), a calm, encouraging presence helping everyone play their best
Big thanks to Matt, John and Logan from FIDA, the amazing InLife volunteers, and Peter and the Monash demons fida for hosting a great day.
Follow us and FIDA to be the first to hear about the next one.
No team? Come down and join the InLife Local Legends on the day.
