We have a wide range of clients including but not limited to start-ups, family groups, property developers and medical specialists. Our comprehensive accounting and taxation services include start-ups and new business strategies, proactive tax planning, business restructuring, business reporting and compliance, wealth creation opportunities and corporate secretarial services. A sustained increase in workflow has created the opportunity for a Business Services Senior Accountant to join the Team. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, enthusiastic professional with a desire to expand their knowledge in multiple areas of accounting and tax and to grow with the firm.



Job Description:

• Management of compliance obligations including but not limited to the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns, FBT returns and BAS for all entity types

• Management of bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliation, super and payroll

• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required

• Assisting in tax planning and consultancy work

• Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members

• Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary

• Engaging with clients and maintaining relationships

• General administration and support functions as required



Skills and experience

• A sound understanding of technical accounting and tax issues, including SMSFs

• At least 4 years of experience within a public practice providing tax and business services

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• A proactive attitude and ability to work independently

• Good time management skills & highly organised

• Proficiency in accounting and tax software packages (e.g XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon)

• IPA, CA or CPA qualified

• Professional presentation

• Positive attitude and hunger to learn

• Work within a team or autonomously, as required
