Two councils. Two approvals. One very proud designer.
I’m excited to share that Dali Panic Design Studio has successfully secured planning approvals from Bayside City Council and Knox City Council for two residential developments located in Cheltenham and Knox.
I had the pleasure of designing both projects and guiding them through the council planning process — from initial concept and design development right through to approval.
Every council has its own planning framework, requirements and challenges, so achieving approvals across multiple municipalities is always a rewarding milestone. It’s what makes the process both complex and incredibly satisfying when everything comes together.
Now that both developments have cleared the planning stage, they’re ready to move into the next phase — and I’m looking forward to seeing these projects come to life.
Moments like this are a reminder of why I love what I do: helping clients transform an idea into a real, approved development.

This will no doubt be a welcome decision for builders, developers, and homeowners who’ve faced long council approval timelines. The industry has been constrained for years by drawn-out processes and excessive red tape. It’s encouraging to see the Victorian Government finally prioritising faster, more efficient approval systems.

Designing with Personality ✨
I’ve had the absolute pleasure of designing this beautiful family development — with town planning personally facilitated by yours truly — now officially in submission with Knox City Council.
What makes this project truly special is the individuality each home carries. For the first time, my clients have chosen entirely different colour schemes across the development. The rich, earthy tones of PGH Brushwood bricks sit boldly alongside the refined, moody hues of PGH Storm bricks — both unified by sleek Colorbond Monument roofing, fascias, gutters and downpipes that tie the whole streetscape together.
I have to admit, I’m pleasantly surprised by how much character the contrast brings — a genuine reflection of each family member’s unique style, all harmonising beautifully within one cohesive development.
