🎓 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱

As many of you receive your graduate program rotations, it can feel like results day — some are celebrating, while others may be left wondering what went wrong. The reality is that rotations aren't guaranteed. While organisations do their best to accommodate preferences, some rotations are highly competitive, with specific areas only offering placements to two graduates.

𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱:
We understand how disappointing it can be not to get your first choice. Our founder, Rebecca, was placed in a rotation she hadn't selected during her graduate year. However, it turned out to be one of her most invaluable learning experiences in her nursing career. Even 10 years later, she frequently uses the skills she gained during that six-month rotation.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Many students consider withdrawing from their program after receiving an undesired rotation. Before making that decision, reflect on why you applied in the first place. Is leaving worth losing the other benefits the program offers?

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Even if your placement wasn't your first choice, try to approach it with an open mind. Seek learning opportunities, build professional relationships, and develop transferable skills to benefit your future nursing career.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Receiving an unexpected rotation can be emotionally challenging. Remember to prioritise self-care, reach out for help when needed, and use available support services through your workplace or university.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐟 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
If you've had negative experiences on a specific ward, felt unsupported, or have other concerns about continuing, consider contacting your program coordinators for clarification or to discuss possible reassignment.

𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧?
We help many students facing these decisions every year. Reach out for a chat — we're here to listen, support, and guide you toward the best path for your nursing career. 💬

𝐔𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬

🔗 Check Your Inbox: You’ve been emailed a link to complete a survey by 10 AM tomorrow.

✅ 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥:
This survey confirms if you want to participate in the Late Vacancy Service (LVS) and allows you to choose your preferred location—Metro, all available regions, or specific areas. Health services will use this information to contact candidates interested in their locations.

🚨 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫:
Complete the survey by 10 AM Friday to remain on the Late Vacancy list. If you miss this, your name will be removed—but you can still apply directly to health services independently.

🏥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬:
If you’ve already been matched, remember that your match is binding, and you cannot apply to other health services participating in the match.

💡 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝:
Metro spots are limited, so consider regional/rural options if you're serious about securing a grad year. The Health Service Directory will be updated with new vacancies starting Monday at 10 AM and will continue to update as vacancies open up until January 2025.

❌ 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭:
Do not apply to health services that aren’t listed—they’re full.

📢 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨:
PMCV is no longer involved in this phase, so apply directly to health services, following their specific application requirements.

Health services can access your video interviews and may contact you directly.

If you no longer wish to participate in the LVS, inform PMCV as soon as possible.

Stay focused, stay proactive, and stay informed! 💪
