Engineers Australia has recognized following key occupational groups within Australia's engineering profession:

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫:
*Four-year bachelor's degree with engineering job experience or even new grads

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭:
* A degree equal to three years (often four years) or no prior experience in the subject of study

*With a Diploma, you can also be evaluated by EA if you have significant job experience over a longer period of time.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫:
*5 years of relevant managerial experience in the same subject of study.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞:
*2 year diploma in any engineering discipline
