THE AUSTRALIAN ROCK N ROLL GUNT

As we always said, Marn Fern (Martin Ferguson) was in Gunt for quite a long toim.

The best thing we have seen Albo do since he came to power was his exiting the plane wearing his Joy Division T-shirt.

Probably the single greatest thing he has done in gunt so far, considering all the rest is rubbish.

We are very pleased that Albo had a friendly and productive meeting with Donald Trump. Because it's important for our country. More important than China visits, even though they are a major trading partner of ours.

The USA will always be our major ally because it is our closest (geographically) Western friend. It has been the case throughout history and it is imperative to keep great trading and diplomatic relations with the US whoever is in gunt there and whatever is said by Kevin Rudd or Trump.

As youse know, we have been ploughing through "The Penguin History of the USA" by Hugh Brogan these past few months on and off. We are about three quarters of the way through and have reached the end of Woodrow Wilson's rule. From there, thanks to Henry Kissinger, and having read JFK's biography, we have a good grasp of what occurred since WWI.

We are now ensconced in the superb story of Islam.

What is fascinating is the first chapter, which explains in simple terms (as opposed to other explanations we have read over the years) the tremendous story of the Shi'a and Sunni schism. And the difference between Shi'a Pakistan, Syria (minority), Iran and Iraq as against Sunni Syria (majority), Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Gulf states, and Pakistan (minority).

Bear in mind that Pakistan was formed in 1947 by a British partition as they exited India as well documented in the Ben Kingsley film "Ghandi". Afghanistan is right next door. The West does not have a very good understanding of the complex machinations of the world of Islam.

This is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the Muslim religion whether in Arabia, Africa, the sub-continent, Indonesia or the Muslims who live in Western countries. When you throw the schism, Hezbollah, Hamas, ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Syrian War, Afghanistan, and all the various majority and minority Shi'a and Sunni elements into the mix, it is a very complicated matter to try to get your head around. But a very important matter.

We have recovered from our bowel surgery and are now dealing with a bad back but managing some work from home and still polishing our novel.

It would be good policy to continue to embrace both China and America equally on our way ahead in Australia.

This Joy Division T-shirt of Albo's can be purchased at JB Hi-Fi we think. The album is "Unknown Pleasures", their 1979 masterpiece containing the hit song from this Manchester band "Disorder".

We recommend the film bio of Joy Division featuring the lead singer, Ian Curtis (1956-1980), and his terrible struggle with epilepsy. We viewed this film a couple of times on SBS. Manchester is naturally the home to so many great rock bands, Oasis and The Smiths included. Birmingham launched Jeff Lynne (ELO), a recent addition to the songwriter's hall of fame. Newcastle produced Sting and Mark Knopfler. Although having read John Illsley's book on Dire Straits this year, Mark has genetic roots in Glasgow.

We recommend the film and soundtrack to the movie "Local Hero" among other Knopfler soundtracks (Altimira, Cal, Metroland, Last Exit to Brooklyn, A Shot at Glory). There you will find many of his Scottish jigs.

In 1991, we were sitting in a pub in Fort William near Loch Ness, as part of driving all the way around Loch Ness. It was a quiet cold afternoon in October. We approached the juke box and put on the song "Brothers in Arms". The bartender rushed out from behind the bar and straight away turned the volume way up high and winked at me. On the drive home, I gave Nessy a wink myself.

When we finally arrived back in Brisbane, via four days in L.A., (where it was 42 degrees with Orange County bushfires raging), we went to see Dire Straits (for the second time) on their final "On Every Street" tour. Mark then went solo.

We have a very large collection of black rock n roll T-shirts which we wear regularly. Our latest purchases from JB have been the "Police" and Prince's "Purple Rain". We saw the legendary Prince in the early nineties at Rod Laver Arena and are pleased we did. Our fav T-shirts are our two Ramones T-shirts and the recent Cold Chisel at Flemington racecourse T-shirt.

Finally, we saw that Rob Hirst was auctioning off his treasured drum kit recently. We hope you're going okay still mate in your heroic struggle with pancreatic cancer. You have your two daughters alongside you, so what a blessing that is.

RETURN TO WORK
Better Days

We have been very ill since last October 2024 when we were hospitalised with diverticulitis. We have not worked in mental health since early last October. Lucky we have writing and have written a novel instead. Lucky we love reading and devour books.

The process involved having a colonoscopy in December last year where there was so much scar tissue and s**te from 20 years of infection in my sigmoid colon that they were unable to get a normal adult colonoscopy scope into my colon. They had to use a children's scope instead.

The process then involved getting surgical advice that the time had come for surgery since it was truly a mess up there. This was confirmed in January. I then had another very nasty CT scan in March where they blew up a balloon containing fluid in my guts while I was still awake and then I had to wait for 5 months for surgery since there was no cancer involved.

During this time, we had to manage things very carefully but had recurrent gut infections every month from November - March.

Also during this time, we never believed that we would ever be able to get back to work. We suppose it's like the song "I've been down so goddamn long that it looks like up to me." So, we suppose it has been similar to having a knee reconstruction in terms of the whole process. We thought that if we ever got back to work, it would be a miracle. It just may happen now but I have to be patient and do retraining.

Then some travel.

Last week, we took the first concrete steps to getting back to work in mental health, which will be a miracle as far as we are concerned.

This is a great video. The lyrics have to do with the terrible time Bruce had in his previous marriage, this terrible time documented on the album "Tunnel of Love". He then Patti Scialfa, who is the beautiful redhead in this vid. The albums "Lucky Town" and "Human Touch" came out in the early 90s, keeping us company for a fair while. They are very different albums. We remember that Bruce played all the instruments on the Human Touch album, although Roy Bittain was always there keeping him company.

CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION

As we have said below, we are very fortunate in Australia that we have not suffered the fate of assassinations over the years or throughout our political history. This is a huge tick for us.

The Left in America certainly are adept at murdering their opponents. They are also great at rigging elections and electoral fraud. They nearly put Trump in the grave.

The Left love to talk about "tolerance" and "equality", however they are truly adept at killing and murdering anyone they disagree with.

The other important point, which is not a joke, is that it is a fact that the West has indeed been taken over by anti-Christian witches. These are the witches who promote and propagate the lies of "climate change". They cannot help it since they have ovaries and a uterus. It's just who they are.

All males need to fight against them since they are very quickly destroying Western civilisation.

What we are saying is that this is the Truth.

And we will keep saying it.

Let's not kill and murder those people who we disagree with, okay?

Despite their criminal thuggery, ranting and raving, and catastrophsing, the Left are the epitome of intolerance in our present society.

We will continue to monitor your intolerance, your stupidity, and your killings.

We do not know Charlie Kirk but this is just such an outrageous, disgraceful, repugnant criminal act.

As we have said, we are getting to the stage of shoot first, ask questions later or "Make My Day" in the Western world. That, as we say below, is a truly dire sign of civilisational breakdown.

We are currently half-way through a movie on Stan: "Midsommar". Featuring Swedish earth worshipping similar to "The Wicker Man". What a crack up. The belief in "climate change" simply being the current form of pagan "earth worshipping" we have seen throughout history. And bearing in mind that all scientists are liars.
