We are still processing the wealth of knowledge gained at the Australia ICOMOS National Conference in Ballarat this week.

Our team, Harpreet Tanday and Peter Dellas, was proud to present "On the Frontlines of Decay: Conservation Strategy for the Broken Hill's Heritage at the Living Desert Flora and Fauna Sanctuary" and to immerse ourselves in inspiring discussions with leaders in the field.

The conference was a powerful reminder of the critical conversations shaping heritage conservation. Engaging with peers, hearing groundbreaking case studies from across Australia and the UK, and exploring the historic city of Ballarat has been incredibly valuable. We return to Melbourne energised and equipped with new perspectives to enhance our practice.

A sincere thank you to the organisers, speakers, and everyone who attended our session. The dialogue continues!

Inpainting is one of the last operation to be executed on an artwork. It requires to be reversible and recognizable depending on the type of artwork as well as the distance it is going to be viewed from.
Here, our team is busy preparing watercolor from scratch for one of our projects as the amount needed was quite considerable!
Natural pigments in powder, binder and water are carefully measured and mixed up together so that the pigment particles are perfectly incorporated into the binder before its application!
