Heat pump uses technology similar to an air conditioner. It extracts heat from a source, such as the surrounding air and it then amplifies and transfers the heat to where it is needed. Because most of the heat is transferred rather than generated, heat pumps are far more efficient than conventional heating.

Pros:
-high energy efficiency
-minimal power consumption
-low maintenance
-affordable

Cons:
-reduced efficiency in cold weather
-noisy
-warm up time
-10 to 15 years lifespan
