📖 Colossians 3:5-11
I have been driving my old car for many years, and I believe those of us who have driven old cars know what it is like. I see and experience the problems and issues. I have imagined what it is like to drive a brand-new car. Now, what if you are given a new, powerful, special and luxurious car? I believe we will be totally overjoyed and excited. However, what if we start to drive the new car in an “inappropriate way”. What if we use the wrong fuel because we were used to the “old type” of fuel. This is also very much so for the Christian life where each of us have now a new life in Christ. Are we living out the new life we have or are we still living as nothing has changed? Join us this Sunday, as we continue in our preaching series through the book of Colossians where Paul the apostle reveals to us what living out the new life in Christ looks like – a new life that reflects Christ in us and a blessing to others.

We are all familiar with the saying that prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.
While JESUS was here on earth, prayer is everything; it’s a duty as well as a privilege, a right as well as a responsibility.
We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but for the Son of GOD, prayer was His first line of defence. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but JESUS wants us to pray before we do anything at all.

📖 Proverbs 3:5-6
As 2024 is about to end, it is easy for us to look back and see times when we “lost it.” We got distracted by the pressures of life and began to make decisions on our own— allowing our EGO (Edging GOD Out) to lead the way instead of letting GOD guide us to a right and blessed path.
The Word of GOD in Proverbs has a prescription that will keep that from many wrong decisions and lead us to the right path.
