This customer wanted a clean, dedicated home charging setup for their Tesla Model 3 Performance, with the charger installed properly in the garage and connected through a compliant EV charging circuit.

Zappi 7kW EV charger installation completed in Cockatoo for a Jaecoo J5 ⚡

This was a residential solar/battery-aware setup, with the charger installed near the existing meter box and electrical equipment.

Scope included:

• Zappi 7kW single-phase EV charger supply and install

• Required circuit protection
• CT monitoring setup where practical
• Charger setup and commissioning
• Testing and verification

The Zappi was selected because it can operate as a normal home EV charger while also supporting solar-aware charging modes where the existing solar/battery system allows.

This is why EV charger installation should be scoped properly. The charger, switchboard, solar equipment, battery system and available electrical capacity all need to work together safely.
