I came across this incredible street art by .crybaby.xx in Hosier Lane while on a ghost/history walking tour with , and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Those lashes, that pout… I was completely obsessed.

Naturally, I had to pick up an Apple Pencil. My hands just wanted to explore all those shapes — really lean into those stunning lashes while playing with other elements to make something that felt like my own.

Not a copy, but a love letter.

I had *so* much fun creating this piece ✨

Before sharing, I reached out to the original artist to show them my work and make sure they were comfortable with how I’d been inspired — and they were so kind and supportive about it.

Now I’ve made a new art friend, which honestly feels like the best part of all 🫶

I just love how artists can inspire each other, support each other, and celebrate creativity together.

🖌️ A BIT OF A CHANGE OF PACE 🖌️

Normally, I’m creating the Paint by Numbers…. Not painting by numbers haha

Finishing off this piece a family member started and never got to finish

This canvas has been sitting in my art stash, along with its number paint pots, for quite some time now.

The time felt right to get it out and to delve into the little shapes.

The time that has passed has meant a little bit of TLC is needed to recondition the paints in their pots.

Started with a pink undercoat to bring some more magic to.

Tempted to give some of the colours a bit of a remix as I see the peice evolve

I also know, glitter will most likely be involved at some point

I won’t be posting a full view of this painting during the wip or once finished to keep privacy in tact

Good thing the close ups are hella satisfying 😍

🐕 KLAUS 🐕

Moose & I have had a lot of loss over our time together.

Significant people lost

And now our Boy, Klaus.

Klaus lost his battle with Systemic Aspergillosis on September the 5th.

His mind and soul was still bright and intent.

His poor body was failing him.

He was not in any pain, however is body was far beyond repair.

Those who know Klaus know his story over the past 3 years. You know how much we have all done to keep him here.

But it was finally his time.

Klaus was 6 years old.

🦠 Systemic Aspergillosis 🦠
�A very rare fungal disease in dogs, caused by Aspergillus — a mold that’s common in the environment.

Unlike the nasal form (which mostly affects the nose and sinuses), systemic aspergillosis spreads through the body, often to the kidneys, bones, or spine.

Unfortunately, it’s incurable and very difficult to diagnose early.

There’s still not much known about why some dogs develop it, or how best to treat it.
By the time it’s found, treatment options are limited.

Raising awareness matters, because so few people — even in the vet world — come across this disease. 💔🐶
