Our Patch Karrendi have been experimenting with shapes, colours, textures and the wonderful world of hands-on creation.

Here's what crafting activities they've been up to:

๐Ÿ’Ÿ Sticker Scenes โ€“ Using a variety of stickers to make imaginative landscapes, cities, and scenes. This activity encouraged creativity, storytelling, and fine motor skills as students thoughtfully arranged their stickers to bring their unique ideas and visions to life.
๐ŸŸ  Hama Beads โ€“ Designing patterns and shapes through bead placement. This activity supported self-expression and the development of fine motor skills, focus, and patience as students carefully placed each bead to turn their ideas into finished creations.
๐Ÿ“ฆ Box Craft โ€“ Transforming ordinary boxes into armor, which they then used to become robots. This hands-on activity encouraged problem-solving, collaboration, and storytelling as children brought their robotic characters to life and role-played in their own imaginative adventures.

Look at those amazing creations!

Resources are an important part of our patches. ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ”๐ŸŽจ

Not only do they form the foundation of our experiences, they support children's evolving interests and developmental needs.

Variety and versatility are key! From arts and crafts materials to outdoor play equipment to science discovery tools, we source a wide mix of resources that are unique to each OSHC community.

That's how we build an environment of endless opportunity, abundant joy, and curious wonder.

Our Patch Mudgeeraba have been busy building a natural bug house for local insects.

In Term 1, students worked collaboratively to design homes, gather materials and construct habitats that support insects and other small creatures. ๐Ÿž๐Ÿƒ

A valuable opportunity to explore the natural environment while developing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
