You seemed ok
So I didn't ask a thing
You smiled a lot
And with your heart you did sing
You beamed in photos
So no one could tell
That beneath that great exterior
It wasn't all well
Facebook and insta portrayed a life that was merry
It masked a soul and heart that was heavy
You helped others find joy and eased their pain
In the meantime, you cried so many tears in vain
If you know someone who is "happy," funny," or "strong"
Don't assume that in their lives, nothing is wrong
Just as much as they care for others, they need care too
So stop to ask them, "how are you?"
