Hearing of a few around in the shallows lately on the flats around Burrum and Maroochydore.

Live yabbis and soldier crabs on a #4 long shank for the best chance.

Sunset fishes have been relaxing once this wind has been droping out in the evening, plenty of small stuff around to keep the kids entertained but still very quiet. Even the live herring gear only took off once in the last few nights.

Quick shore fish this afternoon kept the kids happy with some nice whiting and local wildlife on the walk home.

Always good to see what the fish are eating to target. This cobia came off the Barwon banks looking like it had just fed.

Some Mackeral and dollys are starting to appear off the coast we’re hearing still in small numbers though

The diver whiting are still around in numbers which the kids enjoyed getting a feed, while the Mackeral appeared to be in hiding today.
