Friday 3rd July and our yacht Faith has been cleaned up, has a new coat of antifoul and is back in the water ready for Term 3 that commences on Monday 13th July. Our Thanks to the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron for their ongoing support and our dedicated volunteers who step up whenever they are needed. Stand by, because there is a new motor to be fitted next week and we will post again when that occurs.

Tuesday 30th June and our yacht Faith has been slipped at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron for new antifoul to be applied and some general maintenance work to be completed. The marine growth on the hull was as expected and the reason for the new coating to be applied. We are ever grateful to RQYS for their ongoing support of our sailing program for people with disability as we cannot operate without the assistance of our local community. We also offer our heartful Thanks to International Paints who have contributed to the operation with the supply of 8 litres of antifoul paint that has been gratefully received.

Thursday 18th June and a rather bleak sailing day. We were thankful though to be out on the water considering the recent bad weather and some breeze was available most of the time to keep us moving. We were light on for volunteers again, however we managed 69 happy faces by the finish and had a successful debrief at the local to complete another great day with our sailor clients. Thank You to everyone for your dedication.

Monday 15th June and the weather finally allowed us to sail today. Showers were predicted however held off for our time on the water and the wind from the SW, while 10kts and gusting to 15kts kept everything moving along nicely. Temperatures were mild and comfortable and our 81 happy sailors all had a great time. Even the water dragons were out sunning themselves on the rocks as we sailed past. Thank you everyone who attended today to ensure we all enjoyed our time of the water. Here's hoping that Thursday will be just as good and we can do it all again.
