as someone who usually buys Peter Alexander from op shops or depop

today was a confusing day 😭

I picked up so much Peter Alexander for $9 each!!!!
it was mind blowing !!!! 🍋💖💐
spent $150 on ALL of this!!!

anyway here’s your reminder to check DFO Brisbane because miracles do happen 🤣
except my daughter screaming like a banshee waiting in line. PS do not recommend taking a pram!!

ps. this was our TK Maxx Australia finds this week 🌱

on a side note!!!
i’ve been quietly looking for a shop for ages now. I think it’s almost hit two years ??

everything lately either feels the same, not what we are looking for like horrible parking, narrow etc or its so expensive for what it is 😅

it’s like a massive kick in the guts every time I check the website but oh well. it is what it is.

here is 5 small things I did to help ease cost of living for my family 🦋✨

mainly for Brisbane/Meanjin 🌾

1) i started walking everywhere. i actually hated the idea of walking but now i actually don’t mind it, plus it’s good for your health. plus the 50c bus is so good i don’t mind walking to it 🌸🦋
thanks to for introducing of 50c public transport!

2. i started a garden 🧚✨🌻
use Facebook marketplace for garden beds & seeds from veggies you already have!

3. i started utilising my local community supports & food banks when we are struggling to get by 🍓🍒🍊
some food assistance org.au

& so many more!

homeware & similar

children’s clothing:swap kids.clothing aus

& more!

4. i started shopping around + negotiating my bills 💻📱✨
i find better deals from other providers and then go back to my current one like “can you match this?” 😭
and most of the time they can!

phone, internet, electricity
everything is negotiable more than you think

5. i cancelled subscriptions i didn’t actually need 💸✨
i went through my bank statements those $10 a month REALLY add up.

just sharing what’s been helping us lately in case it helps someone else too
plz let me know your tips 🌱

i found the sweetest little community food bank in yamanto 🤍

it’s just opened and it’s a small, volunteer run space with such a lovely community vibe.
everyone was so kind, and the fresh fruit & veg was fresh!

this video shows what a $20 shop looked like on the day.
they aim to keep prices around 30–50% cheaper than supermarkets, depending on what stock they receive

you don’t need a concession card to shop there.
soon they’ll also be offering $50 food hampers with pantry staples and, when available, fresh fruit, veg, bread and milk.

📍 The Acorn Pantry Inc Yamanto Ipswich
*ps the $1 was the strawberries

I will be taking a long break.
over the weekend, my mum passed away.
a lot of you have met her as she always helped me out with tiny footprints and always kept me grounded and now I don't have that. nor do I have the energy in me.
it also hurts knowing one of the last tabs open on her phone was one of the stories I posted on here too and she would always comment/react to posts..
as well as get mad at me for not ironing the clothes.
will forever love her.

sorry if it doesn't really make sense as my brain is a little scrambled but
thank you for your support & bye for now.
