🚒 Introducing the 2026–2028 Grovedale Fire Brigade Leadership Team & Brigade Management Team 🚒

Following our recent Brigade Elections, we are proud to announce the members who will lead and support the Grovedale Fire Brigade over the next two years.

Congratulations to all members who have stepped into leadership and management roles. We would also like to sincerely thank our outgoing leadership team for their dedication, commitment and countless hours of service. Your contribution has helped shape our brigade and is greatly appreciated.

🚒 Grovedale CFA is stepping up once again for the 2026 Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb!

On Saturday 12th September, eight members of Grovedale Fire Brigade will tackle 28 floors in 25kg of firefighting gear to raise funds and awareness for cancer research, mental health, depression and su***de prevention.

The Firefighter Stair Climb is more than just a physical challenge. It is an opportunity to honour those affected by cancer, depression and su***de, while supporting organisations that provide life-changing services and support to firefighters, emergency service personnel and the wider community.

We would greatly appreciate your support as we train, climb and fundraise for this important cause. Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference.

This afternoon, members of Grovedale Fire Brigade had the pleasure of visiting Lifestyle Mount Duneed to deliver a community education session focused on home fire safety.

Residents learned practical skills including:
🧯 How and when to use a fire extinguisher
🔥 Safe use of a fire blanket
🏠 Home fire safety awareness
🚨 Simple steps to help prevent emergencies and stay safe at home

It was fantastic to see so many residents getting involved, asking questions, and taking part in the session. Community education is one of the most effective ways we can help keep our local community safe.

To top off a Sunday afternoon, brigade members and residents also enjoyed a few friendly games of lawn bowls and pickleball, providing a great opportunity to connect, share stories, and have some fun along the way.

A big thank you to everyone at Lifestyle Mount Duneed for having us. We look forward to continuing to work with our community to promote fire safety and preparedness.

Today we honor the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of firefighters worldwide.
Celebrated on May 4th to coincide with St. Florian’s Day, commemorating the first known commander of a Roman firefighting squad.
