Today, we’ve got something special to share with you. Our very first digital product, a film lighting guide!

Over the years, I’ve been asked more questions about lighting than anything else. Which is why I’ve dedicated over a year to creating a comprehensive guide to help filmmakers and photographers master the art of lighting. Our amazing YouTube community were instrumental in making this guide possible, their feedback, questions and support have inspired me every step of the way.

When I look back on my time in film school, I often wished for a practical, easy-to-reference guide that could help me apply the concepts I was learning, on-set. That’s why I created Film Lighting Fundamentals. It’s the resource I wish I had when I was starting out—packed with actionable tips, clear illustrations, and video links to help master the fundamentals.

Last night Lauren and I attended the opening night of the Gold Coast Film Festival, and what a night it was!

We’re so thrilled to have not just one, but two films premiering this year!

Our very own feature documentary Against The Tide is screening on Saturday the 29th at 1pm.

It will follow on from an industry panel on the journey of storytelling through documentary, where Lauren (who directed the film) will be taking the stage!

The second film, Girls’ Night Out, was directed by our good friend and long time collaborator Damian Hussey, on which I was privileged to be the films Cinematographer. It is screening on Monday the 24th at 6.30pm.

If you’re free on either night, please come along to see the films and support two locally produced independent features!!
