🌿🎨 Cultural Learning with Mudgeeraba Special School 🎨🌿
The Kombumerri Rangers recently had a wonderful day sharing culture with the students at Mudgeeraba Special School.
Students participated in a range of hands-on cultural activities, including crushing natural ochre, learning about its traditional uses, creating their own ochre lip gloss, making beautiful beaded necklaces with Blue Quandong seeds, and producing artwork using ochre and acrylic paints to create striking colours and contrasts.
It was fantastic to see the students embrace their creativity while learning about Aboriginal culture, traditional resources, and the ongoing connection of First Nations peoples to Country.
Programs like these provide opportunities for cultural learning, self-expression, skill development, and meaningful community connections. We are grateful to the students and staff for their enthusiasm, participation, and warm welcome.
A big thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a success. We look forward to continuing to share culture and create positive learning experiences together.

Today, Ngarang-Wal and the Kombumerri Rangers had the honour of attending the Te Manawa Ora ANZAC Service in Norwell.
This was more than a moment of remembrance—it was a powerful expression of culture, connection, and unity. Standing alongside our Māori cousins, we walked together in respect, strengthening the ties that bind our communities across land and sea.
Through shared stories, traditions, and spirit, we honoured those who have served, carrying forward the legacy of resilience and cultural strength.
We are grateful to stand, walk, and remember together.
Lest we forget.
