Our Type 1 Camps change lives. We run Type 1 Teens and Adults camps every year in partnership with Lions International.
Weโre currently seeking funding partners and sponsors for our camps to help us continue to provide the incredible experiences they have to offer.
At our camps, teens with Type 1 diabetes get to experience days of unforgettable experiences with fellow Type1 campers. These camps are an opportunity to grow, build confidence, and make lasting memoriesโall while being surrounded by others who really understand what life with Type 1 is really like. Many of the teens even create lasting friendships.

Let's talk about it..
1. Every beanie purchased helps the Type 1 Foundation provide support to families navigating the overwhelming days and weeks after a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis when it is needed most.
2. Wearing a Type 1 Foundation beanie helps raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes and encourages conversations about its symptoms, which can help reduce the likelihood of misdiagnosis and Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA).
3. Our foundation focuses on the "right here, right now" needs of people living with Type 1 diabetes, including our newly diagnosed care package program, education, awareness, newly diagnosed counselling programs and community events that foster connection.
4. Whether you live with Type 1 Diabetes, love someone who does, or simply want to support a meaningful cause, buying a Type 1 Foundation beanie is an easy way to make a tangible difference.
5. Every Type 1 Foundation Beanie represents a community that supports, advocates for and stands beside people living with Type 1 Diabetes every day.
6. Living with Type 1 Diabetes can feel isolating. Your beanie purchase helps create opportunities for families and individuals to connect with others who truly understand the Type 1 journey.

In partnership with Clarence Valley Counselling, we are proud to share this free Type 1 Parents and Kids Workshop.
This workshop is about helping your child become more connected to their body, build confidence, and understand what different body signals might be communicating.
As a parent, you'll know your child is learning skills that support emotional wellbeing alongside diabetes management, giving them a stronger foundation for understanding themselves as they grow.
During the workshop, we request parents to stay to attend to their child's diabetes as needed. Parents are invited to Morning Tea and mingling with fellow parents for the duration of the workshop.
This Workshop Will Help Your Child
โข Learn to recognise their body's signals and understand what those signals might be telling them
โข Explore how blood glucose levels can affect their body, emotions, energy and thinking
โข Build confidence in noticing what their body needs during highs, lows and everything in between
โข Discover practical ways to feel calmer, more settled and more in control
โข Develop trust in themselves and their body, rather than feeling confused or overwhelmed by it
โข Connect with other children who also live with Type 1 Diabetes and understand they are not alone๏ฟฝ
โฆ Take home simple activities and strategies they can continue using at home
โฆ Your child will receive a fun, practical workbook filled with activities to help them keep exploring their body signals long after the workshop ends.
