NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year's theme, 50 Years of Deadly, marks a powerful milestone in the history of National NAIDOC - honouring the Elders, leaders, artists, advocates and communities who have helped shape the past 50 years while looking ahead to the future.
Throughout the week, WorkSafe employees will have the opportunity to learn, listen and connect through traditional basket weaving facilitated by Wathaurong Aboriginal Co Op, a Truth-Telling session with its CEO Simon Flagg, and a collaborative mural experience led by First Nations artist Kiri Tawhai.
These experiences help deepen our understanding of First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives, and the importance of walking together in the spirit of respect and reconciliation.
