THE FESTIVAL OF HORATIO / Spotted in in Woodsons Arcade late this afternoon, the ever-radiant Rosslyn de Souza , putting the shine onto a beautiful exhibition of photos of Horatio T Birdbath. A beloved Fremantle artist and bohemian, Horatio recently departed this mortal world, leaving our city a far poorer place for his absence.

Celebrate his life this Sunday 12 July when The Festival of Horatio takes place across Fremantle, commencing at 12.30pm. Dress code: wonderfully peculiar - of course! Link in our bio for more details. RIP Horatio - there are really no words to capture your spirit and our streets are a little less alive without you there.

NEW EVENT / We’re excited to be heading north to visit a very special house designed by vA for a couple with distinct ideas about what they needed: she’s a renowned jewellery maker, and he likes making beer. 
 
There’s so much we love. An exceptional jewellery-making studio, set apart from the main house. The way texture has been worked into the design, despite allergies that ruled out rugs, curtains and the other usual ways of bringing softness into a home. The re-use of materials. And the landscape design, a response to Country and the site’s ancient ecology, featuring an above-ground natural pool.

Eton was recognised at the WA Architecture Awards in the residential and sustainability categories. Tour the house and hear the architect and homeowners in conversation, revealing the many details that make this place extraordinary.
