Now's your chance — and you couldn't be in better hands.

Red Tag Fly Fishers are launching their 2026 Learn to Fly Fish Development Program, a structured, friendly course designed for people with little or no experience who want to discover one of the most rewarding sports on the water.

Here's what the program includes:
✅ Casting tuition at the Yarra Bend casting pond (rods provided!)
✅ Knot tying & fly selection workshops
✅ Gear explained in plain English — what you really need to start
✅ Introduction to fly tying — and you'll fish with the flies you make
✅ A half-day fishing trip on Sunday 2nd August at a stocked trout dam near Noojee — catching, handling and releasing your first trout 🐟

Program runs: Saturday 11 July through Sunday 2 August 2026
Location: Fiona Richardson Netball Pavilion, Fairfield (sessions at the casting pond on Fairlea Rd)

Costs:
- Existing club members: $100
- Guests (non-members): $220 — *includes free club membership on completion!*

The Red Tag Fly Fishers’ Club are once again hosting Catch a Rainbow: a come and try day for the LGBTIQA+ community to get hooked on fly fishing.
