Originally established in 1983 to fight uranium mining in Kakadu National Park, we continue to work closely with communities across the Northern Territory to stop environmentally destructive projects, hold government and industry to account, and improve environmental regulation and governance.

📢 Darwin's air just got dirtier - with official approval.

The NT's environmental regulator has just signed off on Santos venting benzene and other toxic pollutants directly into our air, instead of burning them off through an acid gas incinerator.

Come to Gaslit Festival this weekend and make your voice heard, because Darwin deserves better 💚

We did it! After years of community campaigning, the Northern Territory government has announced plans to monitor toxic industrial air pollutants for the first time.

The monitoring comes after an independent review found gas giant INPEX had "systematically underestimated" emissions from its Darwin Ichthys LNG project for years.

Thanks to everyone who spoke out, signed petitions and fought for our right to clean air. Let's keep going.
