🎉🧬 THE RESULTS ARE IN… ZEUSY BEAR’S DNA IS OFFICIAL! 🐶🎉

A HUGE congratulations goes to 🏆 Charlie Bear 🏆 who takes home the ultimate prize… LIFELONG BRAGGING RIGHTS! 😂👏

🥇 Charlie Bear correctly guessed:
🐑Border Collie
❄️Siberian Husky
🐄Australian Cattle Dog

With his results showing
Husky 35%
Border Collie 20%
Australian Cattle Dog 17%

🧬The other breeds detected are considered to reflect common ancestry or ancient breeds - not significant. These 'low confidence" levels would not reflect any phenotype (physical appearance) or temperament associated with these breeds.

…and did it at 11:17am, just 17 minutes after we posted the competition! 🤯👏 Now that’s impressive! 🧠🐾

🎉 Thank you so much to everyone who joined in, guessed, commented, tagged friends and shared our gorgeous Zeusy Bear. Every share helps him get one step closer to finding his forever family. ❤️🏡

Now that we know his breeds, it all makes so much sense! 😍

🖤 His beautiful colouring, especially that gorgeous black tail with the white tip, is classic Border Collie. 🐑

💙 His striking eyes and the shape of his side profile and snout definitely show his Husky heritage. ❄️🐺

🤍 And those adorable ears, incredible loyalty and eagerness to be by your side are pure Australian Cattle Dog. 🐄🐾

No matter what his DNA says though… Zeus is 100% good boy. 🥹❤️

🏡 Zeus is STILL searching for his forever home! He is available now and would love to meet potential adopters. 💕 If you’ve been thinking about adding a loyal, intelligent, fun-loving best friend to your family, this handsome boy could be the one! 🐶❤️

📩 Send us a message to arrange a meet and greet.

🙏 Please keep sharing Zeusy Bear so we can help him find the loving home he deserves! 🥰🐾

Are you ready to keep your pets safe and secure tonight? 🎇

Tonight is the most traumatic night for our pets and wildlife. Please ensure you’re doing all you can to keep your pets safe 🐾

🐾 Territory Day is fast approaching – please plan ahead for your pets 🎆

Fireworks can be extremely stressful for many pets, so if your pet has previously struggled with fireworks or loud noises, now is the time to start preparing.

If you think your pet may need sedatives or prescription medication, please contact us as soon as possible. These need to be assessed and prescribed by a veterinarian, and supplies and appointment can become limited as the day gets closer.

In the meantime, here are some practical ways to help your pets cope:

🏠 Create a safe space
Set up a quiet, secure room inside your home where your pet feels comfortable. Close windows, blinds, and doors to reduce noise and flashes.

🔊 Mask the noise
Use white noise, a fan, TV, or calming music to help drown out fireworks sounds.

🦴 Provide distractions
Long-lasting treats, puzzle feeders, or favourite toys can help shift their focus.

🚶 Walk dogs early
Exercise dogs earlier in the day before fireworks begin, and keep them securely inside once evening approaches.

🔒 Check safety
Make sure gates, fences, and windows are secure. Ensure your pet is microchipped (details are up to date) and wearing ID tags in case they become frightened and escape.

📅 Plan ahead
Don’t leave it until the last minute—appointments and medications become very limited in the days leading up to Territory Day.

If you’re unsure what your pet might need, please get in touch with the clinic and we’ll be happy to help guide you.

Let’s work together to keep our pets safe and as stress-free as possible this Territory Day ❤️🐾
