Honey have lots of benefits to our body, but honey that commonly located on store shelves are usually pasteurized. This process which requires temperatures of 161 °F (72 °C) or higher can destroys yeast cells on the honey.

The honey that should be purchased is the unpasteurized or raw honey, as it exists in the beehive or as obtained by extraction, settling, or straining, without adding heat. Raw honey contains some pollen and may contain small particles of wax.
