FRDC is unveiling a stellar lineup of research partners at FishTank, an interactive session for research presentations at Seafood Directions in July 2026.

Next up: PhD Student at Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies - IMAS and Seasoned Centro professional, Francisco Albergoli!

Short-spined Sea Urchins (Heliocidaris erythrogramma) have been fished in Tasmania since the 1980s, yet limited research has been conducted to support fisheries management. Francisco is working on innovative management approaches, exploring stock enhancement strategies to maximise the return of short-spined sea urchins and improving industry profitability.

At FishTank, Francisco will give attendees the chance to test their skills on his custom-built mobile game, 'Urchin Catcher', alongside a showcase of stunning underwater research footage.

Two serves of seafood a week is one of the most effective dietary habits any Australian can adopt.

Not a trend. A lifelong habit backed by science.

Over the past eight weeks, we've shared the research, the evidence, the recipes and myth-busting, all pointing to Two4Life.

Here's all it takes:
- 100–150g per serve
- At least one oily serve — salmon, sardines, mackerel
- Mix it up — different species, different nutrients
