A tough day in the Snowy Mountains on the Cherish Women's Cancer Foundation Ten Peaks challenge but spirit were still high. Two peaks climbed in a snow-covered landscape and 40 kph winds. A great day by all with two peaks climbed!

Coming up in October this year is a mountaineering expedition to climb Mera Peak (6476m) and Island Peak (6189m) in Nepal. These two mountains an excellent introduction to high altitude mountaineering. Climbers are rewarded with one of the most remarkable panoramas in the Himalaya — views of five of the world’s highest mountains: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and Kangchenjunga, Climbers will be led by Australia’s most experienced high-altitude mountaineers, supported by a team that understands both the physical and psychological demands of expedition life.

The second trip is the spectacular Everest Three Passes trek, a 22 day lodge-based trek guided by an Australian Everest mountaineer, visiting Everest Base Camp and crossing three high passes and two Himalayan glaciers (hence avoiding the crowds on the usual route).
