The National Folk Festival is acutely aware of our responsibilities to the community at this difficult time.

It is therefore paramount that we follow due process before we make any formal announcements. The ACT Government’s official recommendations concerning coronavirus will play a significant role in the outcome of this complex situation. We will update the community immediately when a formal decision can be implemented.

The folk community has never been more important to us. Thank you for your generous support and understanding as we manage this unprecedented situation.

Volunteer - National Folk Festival Volunteer Volunteer Applications for the 2020 Festival will open on 1 November 2019 It takes about 1300 people working behind the scenes to make our Festival happen. Only a handful of these are paid; the rest are volunteers. Volunteers do everything that needs to be done to make our Festival happen....
