Reflecting Power

I started this morning with Deanne Duncombe on a panel answering questions about moods, emotions, coaching and leading in a corporate environment. I am grateful to have started my day with this engaged group of coaches from TheStandard in Portland, Oregon. Thanks, Matt Horvat for the opportunity. I am energised and ready to spend my day preparing for next week's workshops, one on personal effectiveness and the other on developing emotional resilience at work.

This morning's conversations reminded me of a big question that underpins my work: "How can we create organisations where people are not only productive but also deeply fulfilled?" I care deeply about how we engage with one another so we can build the kinds of schools, organisations, and communities where people can thrive.

I am thrilled and honoured to deliver part of the 2024 Victorian Association of Secondary School Principals (VASSP) leadership seminar. I want to support our principals in enlivening and empowering themselves so they can be even more effective in leading their schools in these times of disruptive change. Anais Nin says, "We don't see the world as it is; we see it as we are." I am fascinated by how we can shift "how we are" so we move away from practices that exhaust us and towards those that enliven and empower us.
