The gathering of all Cairns media industry professionals is held once a month at various inner city venues, commencing at 6pm. 2 hours to network and socialise with some of the towns movers and shakers. 2018 Queensland Multi Media Awards
It is with deep regret, that the committee of the Queensland Multi Media Awards announce that there will
be no Awards held this year.
For some years now, revenues from the annual Queensland Multi Media Awards, have been steadily
declining.
With sponsorships increasingly harder to secure, and despite numerous proposals to major companies,
educational institutions, and local Government, by the committee,
In the end, falling numbers at our Annual Awards Dinners, a reduction in the amount of entries received,
and lack of industry turnout to our monthly Media Mixes, have diminished our ability to stage the event in
it’s current form.
A recent informal discussion with interested volunteers, has thrown up some proposals for different funding
models, and it is hoped that a renewed committee, can look towards a revamping of the Awards, in 2019.
I encourage anyone, who feels they would like to be involved on the committee, to get in touch with the following committee members:
