At cape, off-site work isn’t just about lending a helping hand, it’s about building independence, strengthening connections, and creating meaningful experiences.
Our supported employees from Nunawading enjoyed their off-site work in Broadmeadows by making new friendships, building confidence, and having fun.
Working on different lines with different team members also gave everyone the opportunity to learn new skills, try something different, and feel part of a wider team.
It’s these moments, stepping into new spaces and feeling welcomed, that make such a positive impact.
We’re so proud of our team for embracing the opportunity and making the most of every moment! We're already looking forward to the next opportunity!

We recently received some fantastic customer feedback from Dayton Garden Services, and we couldn’t be prouder:
“I just want to say a big thanks to your team for the great service and excellent quality of your plants. The client and I were very happy and the job turned out great! A big shoutout to the two delivery drivers who were so proud of their product and being part of the organisation.”
Huge kudos to Marcus and Luke; we love seeing that pride and passion out on the job. Moments like this are what it’s all about!
Super proud of our Plants team and the energy they bring every day; keep up the awesome work!

What began as a brilliant idea from supported employee Andrew Donnelly at an ERC meeting quickly turned into a fun-filled fundraising event at cape East!
Supported employees joined in the excitement, making donations to decide which staff member would be drenched next — and it’s safe to say no one stayed dry for long.
There were plenty of laughs and a lot of bravery on display as staff took on icy buckets of water, all in support of the Big Freeze and the fight against MND.
A huge well done to everyone who participated, donated, and took the plunge! What an incredible way to come together for such an important cause. Great idea Andrew!

cape’s Farm in Vermont has wrapped up a fantastic summer season. Our farmers harvested a wide variety of fresh produce, from watermelons, zucchini and pumpkins to corn, tomatoes, herbs, and more.
As the weather cools, we’re getting ready for winter—preparing garden beds with nutrient-rich compost and mulch and gearing up for the season ahead (including chopping wood to keep warm).
Beyond the harvest, the farm is a welcoming space to learn new skills, connect with others and be part of something meaningful. Whether it’s gardening, woodwork or helping care for the land, there’s something for everyone.

Thank you to BreastScreen Victoria for delivering a screening information session tailored for people living with disability. It was fantastic to see employees actively engaging, asking questions and building their understanding of the importance of screening.
Accessible, easy-read flyers and resources were provided to all participants, and we now have additional copies available to share more broadly across our community.
Sessions like this help ensure everyone has access to important health information in a way that’s inclusive, supportive and empowering.
