Love The Numbers Queen - 11:11 Numerology by Sarah Yip's 11 ways a website is like a washing machine! Some great tips for those who are wondering whether their website is working for them and their business the way it should be 💻💡😍
Marketing magic tips: Kris and I come from migrant families who ran dry cleaners or laundromats. We're not afraid to get our hands dirty for a good cause!
Since 2011, a million people have found my website, sarahyip.com. So I thought I'd share some secrets with you.
11:11 means strength in numbers. The more ethical, successful healers out there, the more hope we have for Earth.
11 Ways a Website is like a Washing Machine
1) It saves time. Handling inquiries one by one is like washing jumpers in a tiny sink. Frustrating. A website streamlines labour.
2) It saves you water / tears/ money. A great website convinces the right people to commit, without unnecessary stress.
3) It's a positive use of tech. We've all heard horror stories about internet and dating scams. Done well, a lovingly built website can heal people's trust.
4) The expensive ones aren't always worth the hype. Yes, branding counts but look at the fine print. Does the website meet your needs? Is it easy to fix? Caveat emptor.
5) Cheap ones break. I wrote a blog about Vistaprint before. It was a pain escaping them! In hindsight I would have invested in Wordpress from the start. Money well spent returns 10 to 100x over.
6) Mid-range is best. You get quality while having options to customise. Shop around.
7) Be aware of sexism. I don't accept condescension from techs any more. If they call me 'girl' I am out. I hire those who educate vs exploiting me.
8) You need something for everyday use by many people (some of whom are not technical) So keep it kind and simple.
9) The 'on' / 'on sale' buttons should be obvious. I love my washing machine because even kids can use it.
10) A lot is at stake. If people don't like your website, they may NEVER ask you for help with their emotional laundry again. So keep things updated and ask for feedback.
11) A great purchase should change your life, not put you through the wringer. If you hate your website, change it. Life's too short, and you're too important!

Are you thinking of creating a webinar that will ‘sell' people into your program, online course or coaching services.
It's about a topic my clients are often shocked by, which is how much work actually goes into a webinar launch.
So I'm teaming up with my good friend, Maria Doyle, for a FREE ONLINE WEBINAR focusing on The True Costs of Systemising and Selling Your Expertise.
We will be speaking about the myths surrounding the actual cost in time, money and effort that goes into creating, promoting, delivering and repurposing content, when you’re selling yourself online.
How do we know these core areas, and how much work goes into them?
We just spent 6 months cataloguing the actual cost in time, money and effort that goes into creating, promoting, delivering and then repurposing content.
So you can let out a sigh of relief; we have you covered!

Is Your Website Secure?
It has come to my attention in recent months that many of my clients weren't aware of changes Google implemented when it comes to website security. If your website is one that stores sensitive information such as personal data or passwords, then please bear in mind that websites without HTTPS will be marked by Google as “non-secure”.
I bet that got your attention – and rightly so because this is something that concerns a whole lot of people which includes me. Simply put, EVERY website that collects and saves info like passwords, credit card information as well as other personal information will be required by Google to get HTTPS as well as an SSL certificate.
What is the difference? HTTP and HTTPS are two similar and yet different concepts. HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol while HTTPS stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure. The only visible difference between these two is obviously the S but trust me, that small detail makes all the difference in the world when it comes to ensure your website’s security. Basically speaking, HTTP and HTTPS are transfer protocols that is used by the internet as a language of sorts to process and pass information between clients and servers.
In layman’s terms, HTTP is an unsafe connection while HTTPS is, quite obviously, secure.
If your site isn't secure and you need assistance, contact Web Vision Solutions and we can assist you to ensure your website and your visitors' information is safe.
