Another year wraps up with it’s been a packed and great year meeting new members, discussing business, attending free seminars and growing business.

Highlight from the Summit for day 2. Better late than never!
I got to see one of my favourite people, from , speak about women in business. I met Joanne through and .gbs without whom I would not have my MBA. Joanne spoke of her business journey with incredible heart, experience, and honesty, and spoke about rebuilding and the considerable success she has gained from all her experience. She spoke about choosing the right path for where you are now, listening to yourself and others, and taking the time to see every aspect of business, not ploughing through without stopping to reflect and notice what is happening around you. One thing is for sure: she is a giving person, a popular boss, and her success at every stage is inspiring.

She was joined on the panel by who brought her own unique energy, along with so much experience and wisdom, and by Udara Cumaratunga, Deputy GM for South Asia Gateway Terminals. Udara spoke about women in management positions, and how there needs to be more, from the interesting perspective of being Sri Lankan, she advocates for gender diversity in business and the development of young entrepreneurs.

There was so much more to learn and enjoy on this day. Congratulations to SBAA member, Sally Chung for winning the Tahitian pearl pendant!
It was a pleasure to be there with Dr. Cathryn Lloyd, who also has her SME in The Gap, and exhibits in our Artspace Gallery and is one of our treasured local artists that keeps my office looking beautiful.

It was a fun and relaxing night for the end of year get together. The venue is an absolute hidden gem! Down a wide lane way into a spacious courtyard and beautifully designed welcoming bar, definitely get along to The Shed by owned by the talented and lovely Holly, behind Bay Terrace in Wynnum. It was a big highlight to get to know the Kelly, Zara and Jade. Big conversations about the incredible work they do advocating for women in all areas of automotive. Great people. We said goodbye to the wonderful and talented .bird 😔😭 who is moving into full time work after completing studies, always encouraged and uplifted to follow dreams by CEO, and GM I guess you can’t be sad when a key pillar is encouraging life-long learning ❤️ and all the other great conversations with members and non- members, a great way to end a huge year with WNA.
