💛 Yesterday, the Stratus team swapped our desks for aprons and spent the morning at OzHarvest Brisbane's Cooking for a Cause program.
Alongside the wonderful Chef Marissa, dedicated volunteers, and the OzHarvest Queensland team, we transformed rescued ingredients into nourishing meals for charities supporting people in need.
🥕 Beyond the cooking, we learned more about food waste in Australia and OzHarvest's Use It Up initiative. Developed with BehaviourWorks Australia, the program helped participating households reduce food waste by 40%.
We also learned about the incredible impact OzHarvest Brisbane has had since 2011, supporting 145 charities, delivering more than 30 million meals, rescuing 25,000kg of food every week, and providing around 75,000 meals each week to people in need across Brisbane.
🥦 A morning filled with learning, teamwork, laughter, and purpose. It was a memorable way to wrap up the financial year, and we left with a greater appreciation for the "odd bunch" of vegetables that can be transformed into something extraordinary.
Want to get involved? Book a Cooking for a Cause session, grab a Use It Up Tape (for FREE), or visit the OzHarvest Shop to support this incredible organisation. https://www.ozharvest.org/

💓 For the past 12 years, Brett Cribb has proudly hosted a table at the Red Shield Appeal Breakfast. On Friday 15 May, that tradition continued, bringing together clients, colleagues and members of the broader professional community in support of the incredible work of The Salvation Army Australia.
With the support of Paul Kennedy of PGV Consulting, Brett was once again able to rally a strong group of attendees who recognise the importance of this cause and the impact it continues to have across our communities.
One of the most powerful moments of the morning came from a guest speaker who shared a personal journey. After experiencing significant challenges from a young age, including homelessness and domestic violence, this individual found support through the Salvos and now gives back by volunteering at the very centre that supported recovery.
The breakfast raised more than $693,000, a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
