Dober dan Laura. I strolled past Laura as she was adding to the Pazin Art society mural located opposite their community gallery space in Pazin. She told me she loves this art community very much. The space is used to conduct art classes and exhibitions year round. Art communities are valued all around the world and make a positive impact to all involved.

Can you guess where? In some conservative cultures, this is a far more acceptable form of street art than graffiti.

Make Something Monday. I played around with a bag of leather offcuts from . I wanted to minimise the amount of changes made to each piece and instead include the previous person’s cuts into my work. An evolving project and accumulation of energy from each person’s hands that have touched the leather pieces before me. I’ve always found the touch of leather comforting and it reminds me of happy times with my grandfather.

What does and have in common? They are both run by the passionate, talented Ali! Ali lives and breathes art for all members of our community. She patiently listens and teaches art to our most vulnerable members to everyone else who wants to let go, understand colour theory and just basically get stuck in! Her poetic posts are a joy to read. And check out this gorgeous studio in Brisbane’s bayside where some of her classes are held. A real mover and shaker in Brisbane’s creative therapy space.
