Following the recent announcement of Oxley Golf Club, we’re excited to share the first look at the long term vision for the clubs future development.

In response to the proposed Boundary Road widening, the project looks to reimagine the clubs southern site with a new designed 18-hole championship course, new clubhouse facilities, expanded practice areas and a broader recreation precinct for the community.

With Shawn’s background in golf, the opportunity to be involved in designing a golf club from the ground up is about as close as a dream brief as it gets.

A significant project for one of Brisbane’s long-standing golf clubs and one we’re incredibly proud to be a part of.

Congratulations to Abbey, our newly board registered Architect!

Abbey has been a superstar at Base since 2021. She has now completed the long and challenging road to becoming a registered Architect. No easy feat… Both a Bachelor of Design and Masters of Architect post-graduate degree is only the beginning, followed by years of practical experience, a registration exam and a formal interview process. If successful, only THEN can you call yourself an ‘Architect’!

We are so very proud of Abbey reaching this huge milestone in her career- a testament to her hard work and dedication.

Abbey has worked across a number of residential renovations, new builds and medicinal fit-outs during her time at Base. She is currently leading and contributing to several exciting projects in the office, some of her top ones being Mark Street and Tunnel Road along with Lamont and Fuller which is currently under construction.

All her clients know the care and commitment she brings to every projects, with a genuine passion for design that carries through from the architecture to the interiors.
