We're a small, locally-owned pool company that's been looking after Brisbane's Southside for nearly four years. We work hard, we look after each other and we're in it for the long haul.

No pool experience? No problem. We'll train you from the ground up across pool chemistry, systems, robotic cleaners, repairs, installations and more.

A bit of a backstory - this pool was green/black for approximately 10 years and had some of the toughest staining we’ve come across (and we’ve seen a lot of pools) 😳

After a full drain and acid wash, the pool looks absolutely incredible and pretty much brand new! ☺️

We’re all so happy we could restore it for our wonderful customers and bring it back to life✨

What can we say… this was by far one of the worst cases of staining we have ever seen! 😭

This lovely customer of ours was having another company look after his pool back in the day, who we believe were using minerals with very heavy excess metals which subsequently stained his fibreglass pool BLACK. This wasn’t something that you could scrub off at all, it was literally STAINED black!

Apparently the other company had been treating it for months (and charging each time without any results as the stains always kept coming back 😬)… so he decided to give us a call and ask for advice!

Lo and behold, the wizards did some magic and the stain was 100% gone! Even after months and months, it never came back 😉 As they say, do it once, do it right!

The problem was the previous company was using a sequestrant which just suspends the metal staining… it doesn’t actually remove it from the pool. Essentially, this kind of chemical just makes the stain invisible but without constant dosing, the stain is always going to come back. So you’re stuck treating it forever.

With all this rain around, just a reminder that heavy rain can dilute your pool water, drop your salt level and throw out your chlorine/balance levels 🌧

We have pool salt available in-store at Pool Wizard, plus free water testing and a wide range of chemicals if your pool needs a top-up after the rain.

If your pool starts looking cloudy, don’t leave it too long, it’s much easier to fix early than once it turns green! 🐸

🍂 Autumn pool tip from Pool Wizard 🌟

As we head into the cooler season, you can start bumping your timers down (as long as your chemistry levels are correct).

Reducing timers helps save on electricity 💰 but it’s important to remember that algae can still grow in winter. 🦠 It may grow slower, but it will still appear if your levels are out!

Moving into May, a major focus of ours is to prep the pools for winter. We’ll keep an eye on your water balance as always, adjust timers and ensure to prevent algae before it becomes a problem.
