The start of my soon to be famous writing career. Well at least in my dreams that is what this is. Some how this will lead to my awesomeness being discovered by the world at large. In the meantime it will be a good collection of the ups and downs that make my life, as a mum, wife, constant dreamer, eternal hoper and a whole lot more

And just like that it is home time. Nothing like some heavy end of the world reading to make me forget about the heartache of leaving my precious baby and her even more precious baby

My car and I both with the same vibe. Running on the smell of an oily rag.

I stumbled, almost literally as I was out for a ´run’ and by this point was heading home, very exhaustedly.

In person the colours of the sunset reflecting on the water was utterly breathtaking. My photo does not do it justice. Since I was out running, or at least trying to. Reality was probably more akin to an awkward shuffle that at best might have reached a brisk walk. Not an Olympic power walker brisk walk, without a doubt they would have been significantly faster. More like your average short person brisk walk.
But I digress. How cool that there is such a gorgeous little spot barely 2km from my front door??? The thing that gets me the most is that I drive past here pretty much every other day and not once have I seen the water. Sure I’ve seen families of ducks hanging around but I had no idea their source of water was there. For context I was probably about 20 meters from the side of the road. Live and learn hey?

My working holiday is coming to an end and I’ll soon be returning to my normal life. Which naturally makes me feel all the feelings and then some.

Right now I’m focusing on the warm fuzzy feelings that my sparkly new purple shoes bring combined with my new little butterfly friends and a coffee before work brings.

Because let’s face it, it’s the little things that make life worth while.

Can’t believe I have been here a week and this is the first trip to the beach I’ve made.

In my défense it is a working holiday so between work and baby snuggles there hasn’t been time for much else

A new day dawns and a new adventure is awaiting to begin.

This particular adventure involves getting up before the sparrows were farting to drive two hours to the airport to then spend the rest of the flying to the other side of the country.

Upon arrival I will immediately be taking up my Granny duties getting in as many squishy cuddles as possible, in between working from a new office for the next three weeks.

In between flights I treated myself to what could possibly be considered the most expensive mini burger, chips and drink ever. I’m talking over fifty bucks. To be fair though the Long Island iced tea is one of the strongest I’ve ever had. And if you know me well you would know I’ve had few.
