Day 1 of the road trip back to Darwin. Always sad leaving the beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches. Dicky Beach Caravan Park was an awesome little spot to spend a couple of weeks over the Christmas period.

Today’s stop is Roma. Couldn’t be done without a cheeky stop at the bakery for a few famous Blackbutt pies. Second stop was the old home town of Chinchilla and some of the magic food works hot chips.

Finally made it to Roma at the Big Rig Tourist Park. Nice little park close to town. Managed a quick schooner at the club hotel followed by the must see attraction of Roma’s largest bottle tree. Lastly some local rib fillet cooked at the camp kitchen (with some new avocado oil purchased at Blackbutt).

Off to Longreach tomorrow (we think 😎).
