This upcoming renovation of a classic hillside Queenslander seeks to enhance its connection with the natural surroundings. The design prioritizes expansive glazing, incorporating large windows and doors to frame the stunning panoramic views. To optimize the flow of natural light, the kitchen has been repositioned to the eastern side of the home, ensuring an abundance of soft, morning light. This thoughtful reconfiguration creates a harmonious blend of interior space and the beauty of the landscape beyond.

When it comes to extending a house it’s important to consider the journey to and through the spaces rather than just the destination. Creating beautiful passages to and from places sets the atmosphere for a home. In addition to creating zones to look out over. This design explores a pool and pool house extension. Instead of being plopped at the end of the house it’s has been intertwined with the existing house footprint. Finding its ground under the roof of the patio creating a linkage between the exisiting and new.
