Over the past 12 months, we’ve been deliberately evolving from an accounting practice into 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺 - bringing accounting, financial planning, business advisory and finance broking together so our clients get coordinated advice, not disconnected services. 🤝🤝

Interesting research from the Reserve Bank showing cash use in Australia has stopped declining and is actually increasing slightly.

What caught my attention is why people still use it. The most common reason is that it simplifies budgeting. Cash creates a natural spending limit that digital payments don't have.

There's something to that. When you withdraw $100 for the week, and that's what you have to spend, you're forced to be more conscious about where it goes. Tap-and-go doesn't create the same awareness.

Three-quarters of Australians still carry cash. Most say they keep it as a backup in case electronic payment systems fail.

Cash might be old-fashioned, but it still serves a purpose for many people when it comes to managing their spending.
